Principal Quality Assurance Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for defining and executing product qualification and reliability monitoring for AI module and SiP products across design, manufacturing, and assembly. Works cross-functionally with Design, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability, Failure Analysis, and Customer/Supplier Quality to prevent defects, validate robustness, and enable production releases.

Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate product qualification activities from design kick-off through production transfer and ensure qualification outcomes meet internal, customer, and industry requirements.
- Attend and contribute to milestone meetings from design kick-off through production transfer.
- Define, perform, and review qualification plans for new products, second sources, material/design/process changes, with emphasis on AI module products.
- Define, evaluate, and implement stress tests relevant to product/module applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IEC, JEDEC).
- Communicate qualification plans, data, and results with customers at silicon, package and board levels.
- Participate in risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) and verify mitigation actions.
- Review qualification test results, assess risks, and provide quality approval for production release or change management.
- Generate and publish qualification reports and drive timely resolution of qualification issues.
- Coordinate failure analysis for qualification failures using electrical, mechanical, and materials techniques.
- Feed lessons learned into design and process improvements to increase product robustness.
- Monitor qualification timing, quality, and cost metrics to meet Division KPIs.
Requirements
Must-have skills, domain experience, and attributes.
- 5+ years in a Quality Engineer or Reliability Engineer role focused on semiconductor products.
- Practical experience with semiconductor modules, SiP, and SPS for AI/data center applications.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes: wafer fab, assembly (IC and module), and test.
- Strong familiarity with qualification methodologies and reliability/quality standards and tools (FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis).
- Experience coordinating failure analysis and interpreting electrical, mechanical, or materials analysis results.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and across cross-functional and global teams; comfortable in a multicultural environment.
- Written and verbal English proficiency.
- Flexible to undertake international travel at short notice.
- ITAR requirement: must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.
- Preferred: self-motivated, customer-focused, and business service minded.
