Principal Product Quality Engineer – Silicon Carbide (SiC)
Role Summary
The Principal Product Quality Engineer for SiC will design and drive product quality and qualification strategies for next-generation silicon carbide products across development, test and manufacturing. This role partners with development, manufacturing, test and applications teams to ensure products meet reliability and customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities
The role is responsible for defining and executing quality and qualification activities for SiC products and for driving quality improvements across product creation and production.
- Represent Quality Management within the product development team.
- Correlate SiC failure mechanisms with reliability measures to be implemented in product quality.
- Define and execute qualification approaches for product developments.
- Implement quality procedures and standards (company, JEDEC, AEC, customer-specific) in projects.
- Define final test specifications and verification plans.
- Support customer requests and complaint handling; manage PCN inputs and follow-up activities.
- Identify and address quality gaps in product creation and production processes.
- Lead root-cause analysis for yield loss or production issues and implement containment and corrective actions.
- Define qualification requirements and support qualification of manufacturing processes.
- Document and analyze data related to reliability, yield, FMEA and customer issues.
Requirements

Must-have: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar product quality or reliability role.

Must-have: Knowledge of semiconductor device behavior and reliability concepts; preferably experience with SiC devices.

Must-have: Knowledge of international quality standards and policies (e.g. AEC-Q101, AQG 324).

Must-have: Familiarity with measurement methods, device testing environments and standard software tools (e.g. Office).

Must-have: Strong statistical data analysis skills and problem-solving techniques.

Must-have: Good communication and presentation skills; fluent spoken and written English.

Must-have: Ability to perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and work under pressure.

Preferred: Experience with wafer fab and assembly processes.

Education Requirements
PhD or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics or a similar technical discipline (as stated in the posting).
