Principal Product Manager
Role Summary
The Principal Product Manager will define and execute product strategy and roadmaps for wireless MCU products, working closely with engineering, revenue, marketing, sales, and customer-facing teams. The role owns product specifications, pricing strategy, datasheets/technical documentation, and go-to-market planning to deliver competitive semiconductor products.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on product definition, market analysis, and driving product launches in a fast-paced semiconductor / wireless IoT environment.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of launching and managing technology products.
Responsibilities
Accountable for product strategy through launch and lifecycle management.
- Develop and communicate product vision and multi-release roadmaps aligned to company goals.
- Author product requirement documents (PRDs/MRDs) that define competitive performance thresholds and feature sets for wireless MCUs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, marketing, FAEs, finance, project management) to define priorities and deliver products on time and budget.
- Define pricing strategies and conduct pricing analyses to maximize revenue and market share.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of datasheets and technical documentation for products.
- Drive go-to-market planning, product positioning, launch communications, and messaging with marketing and communications teams.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback, sales data, and market/competitive intelligence to prioritize features and roadmap changes.
- Manage trade-offs, scope changes, and stakeholder consensus during development.
- Track and report product performance and success metrics with project management and revenue teams.
Requirements
Core qualifications and skills required for success in this role.
- 10+ years of product management experience in technology products, with demonstrated product launches and lifecycle ownership.
- Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, market research techniques, and pricing strategy.
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills across engineering and commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable making data-driven decisions.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with semiconductor products, wireless networking (Wi‑Fi, Wi‑Fi HaLow / 802.11ah), or IoT device ecosystems.
- Experience authoring technical datasheets and product requirement documents for hardware/firmware products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
