Principal Product Engineer — Networking & Connectivity

Role Summary

Provide technical leadership for networking and connectivity product engineering across development, NPI, and production. Work cross-functionally with design, operations, program management, and quality to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and readiness for customer deployment.

Own product technical decisions and drive teams toward scalable productization for data center and AI infrastructure.

Experience Level

Senior — Principal-level individual contributor and technical leader.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Product Engineer you will own productization and NPI technical outcomes, including:

  • Lead technical direction from development through production to meet quality, reliability, performance, and cost targets.
  • Serve as the primary technical stakeholder during NPI: characterization, debug, qualification, and readiness activities.
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams to reach data-driven, full-closure solutions.
  • Perform technical risk assessments and trade-off analysis; provide clear recommendations to engineering and management.
  • Represent product engineering in customer and leadership forums, communicating status, risks, and mitigation plans.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required for the role:

  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle and scalable productization.
  • Expertise in structured problem solving and root-cause analysis across silicon, test, and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to translate complex technical data and analytics into concise, executive-level recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience using ATE for silicon characterization, analysis, and debug; experience with 93K is strongly preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of applied statistics for product characterization, yield improvement, and quality analysis.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as JMP, SiliconDash, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills across multiple parallel efforts; interest in process automation and workflow optimization is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR a Master's degree or PhD in those fields with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Degrees or experience preferably in semiconductors.

Expected base pay range (USD): 136,880 - 205,000 per annum.
