Principal Product Engineer - Integrity 3D-IC/Innovus
Role Summary
Develop and validate Integrity 3D-IC and Innovus design flows with emphasis on system-level planning and physical implementation for advanced 3D IC designs.
Work closely with global customers and coordinate with R&D and field engineering to align product development with customer technical needs and constraints.
Experience Level
Senior-level; minimum 9+ years hands-on experience in ASIC digital implementation or related fields.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on customer engagement, design-flow development, and delivering technical feedback to product teams.
- Engage with top-tier global customers to understand design specifications and advanced package challenges.
- Develop and validate Integrity 3D-IC and Innovus-based design flows for system-level planning and physical implementation.
- Collaborate with internal R&D and field engineering teams to translate customer requirements into product features and fixes.
- Provide product teams with field feedback, competitive intelligence, and opportunities to influence roadmap.
- Support flow validation with analysis relevant to timing, power/thermal/PSI as needed.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills and experience.
- Must-have: 9+ years hands-on experience in ASIC digital implementation or equivalent practical experience.
- Must-have: In-depth understanding of EDA tools for physical design.
- Must-have: Proficiency with scripting languages (Tcl, Perl, Python, or similar).
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal and team communication; fluent English.
- Nice-to-have: Deep understanding of 3D integration design methodology and advanced package design challenges.
- Nice-to-have: Extensive experience with deep sub-micron design issues and practical solutions.
Education Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field is required. MS in a related major is preferred. (Related technical degrees acceptable.)
