Principal Product Application Engineer

Role Summary

Work with sales, account managers, distributors and field application engineers to grow and accelerate the Business Group MOS design pipeline across South Korea. Provide expert technical support, create engineering design materials, and represent Nexperia in technical and marketing forums.

Experience Level

Senior. The role requires demonstrated experience in power-electronics applications; the posting requests 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with Account Managers, Business Development, FAEs, distributors and sales representatives to expand MOS design pipelines in South Korea.
• Act as product expert on BG MOS product families and roadmaps.
• Provide tier-2 technical support and training to customers and partners.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with design engineers and intermediaries.
• Capture and communicate customer requirements, white-spot and NPI opportunities, and competitor activity.
• Identify emerging applications and promising customers.
• Support marketing initiatives and represent Nexperia at technical events and speaking opportunities.
• Promote and use advanced support tools: models, evaluation systems, and technical documentation.
• Create application schematics, demo boards and simulations to support designs.
• Develop technical content to drive awareness and engagement within customer engineering communities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: 3+ years' experience in power-electronics applications (AC/DC power conversion, motor control, battery management, energy storage, etc.).
• Must-have: Familiarity with electronic product design processes, component selection and qualification.
• Must-have: Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills; high standard of written and spoken English.
• Must-have: Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Nice-to-have: Practical experience with MOSFETs and related technologies.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with prominent ECAD systems and simulation tools.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in automotive, industrial, or commercial applications.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, continuous-improvement mindset and team-player attitude.

Education Requirements

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline; the listing accepts equivalent practical experience in lieu of the degree.
