Senior — 15–18 years of professional experience, including experience driving or leading a team.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities as a senior technical lead on the CPU physical implementation team.
- Identify critical paths, timing and power bottlenecks across IP development; enable accurate trade-offs between frequency, IPC, power and area.
- Participate in CPU benchmarking and tuning to achieve best possible results.
- Develop and improve implementation methodology and flows to increase quality of results and efficiency.
- Own the implementation flow from synthesis to GDSII, including static timing analysis, IR drop analysis and equivalence checking.
- Collaborate with micro‑architecture designers and standard‑cell/macro teams to resolve design tradeoffs.
- Plan and schedule team workload, assign tasks and drive delivery.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 15–18 years of relevant professional experience with a track record of driving team delivery and improving CPU power/frequency/area.
- Experience with synthesis, floor‑planning, power planning, clock tree synthesis, place & route tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of CPU micro‑architecture concepts (cache, MMU, pipeline).
- Ability to schedule workload, plan tasks and mentor engineers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.
