Job Title

Principal NIC Architect

Role Summary

Lead the architecture and design of network interface controller (NIC) hardware and its integration into NVIDIA products. Work on next‑generation networking solutions focused on improving AI workloads.

Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams in Israel (Tel Aviv and Yokneam) to prototype, validate, and deliver production ASIC and NIC features.

Experience Level

Senior — over 15 years of ASIC development experience; expected to lead complex, multi‑team technical projects.

Responsibilities

Primary technical and leadership responsibilities:

  • Architect NIC hardware and define next‑generation NIC features for AI and high‑performance networking.
  • Collaborate with system architects, ASIC designers, analog and packaging engineers to drive designs from concept to silicon.
  • Conduct R&D to identify opportunities to improve AI workloads using NIC technology.
  • Prototype and validate new approaches using simulation and hardware platforms; ensure correct integration into product stacks.
  • Lead cross‑functional design reviews, set technical direction, and coordinate delivery across teams.
  • Mentor engineers and help resolve complex architectural and implementation issues.

Requirements

Must‑have skills and experience; plus some desirable qualifications.

  • Over 15 years of experience in ASIC development with a track record of delivering complex designs.
  • Deep expertise in NIC architecture and its application to AI and high‑performance networking.
  • Proven ability to lead technically sophisticated projects involving multiple teams and interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with prototyping, simulation, and hardware validation methodologies.
  • Nice to have: history of driving innovation and successful technology implementations; extensive knowledge of networking hardware implementation and protocols; experience with large‑scale, high‑end ASICs.

Education Requirements

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
