Principal/Lead Digital RTL Design Engineer (Power Management ICs)

Role Summary

Lead digital RTL design and verification for power-management integrated circuits. The role drives RTL development, verification, debug, simulation, and automation within the digital design team and represents digital design in cross-functional projects.

Work covers pre- and post-silicon development and delivery; the position is full-time and includes a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include design, verification, automation, and technical leadership for digital design blocks.

• Develop, debug, and verify digital RTL in pre- and post-silicon environments.
• Write tests to verify design intent against specifications.
• Create and improve scripts to automate design flows.
• Manage assigned design blocks: requirements, architecture, and implementation.
• Research and present tools to improve the design process.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership.
• Serve as the functional digital design lead on projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proficient in Verilog and developing CDC/RDC/LINT-clean designs.
• Experience debugging mixed-signal designs using SystemVerilog-based testbenches.
• Exposure to gate-level simulation and debug.
• Experience designing industry-standard serial interfaces (I2C, I3C, SPI, I2S, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills and a systematic debug methodology.
• Working experience with Cadence or Synopsys design tool flows.
• Proven hands-on technical leadership with successful project delivery.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M processors and computer architecture.
• Exposure to mixed-signal designs with a basic understanding of analog circuits.
• Experience in digital backend design flow (synthesis, STA, P&R) and full design flow from specification to backend.
• Experience with power-management protocols (PMBus/SMBus, AVSBus, SVID, SVI3).

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE). The posting specifies 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
