Principal/Lead Digital Design Engineer (Power Management ICs)
Role Summary
Lead the digital design effort for power management integrated circuits, owning architecture, RTL implementation, verification, and automation for assigned blocks. Work with cross-functional teams on pre- and post-silicon bring-up and act as the functional digital-design lead on projects.

Senior - demonstrated technical leadership; position references 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, verification, and technical leadership for digital power-management IP and blocks.
- Develop, debug, and verify digital designs in pre- and post-silicon environments.
- Create and run tests to verify design intent against specifications.
- Develop and improve automation and scripts to support design flows.
- Manage design blocks through requirements, architecture, implementation, and handoff.
- Research and recommend tools to improve the design process.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership.
- Serve as the functional digital design lead on multi-discipline projects.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience developing CDC/RDC/LINT-clean RTL in Verilog.
- Comfortable debugging mixed-signal designs using SystemVerilog testbenches and gate-level simulation.
- Experience designing industry-standard serial interfaces (I2C, I3C, SPI, I2S, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and proven debug methodology.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence or Synopsys digital design tool flows.
- Proven track record of technical leadership delivering successful projects.
Nice-to-have:
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M series processors and general computer architecture.
- Exposure to mixed-signal design and basic analog concepts.
- Experience with digital backend flows (synthesis, STA, place & route) and full design flow ownership.
- Experience with PMBus/SMBus, AVSBus, SVID, or SVI3.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE). The posting specifies 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
