Role Summary
The Principal Design Engineer will drive innovation and development in analog and mixed-signal ICs, focusing on power management integrated circuits (PMICs). The role includes defining architectures, optimizing power devices, enhancing efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring 12+ years of direct analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Lead key IP development, from definition to execution to product release.
- Collaborate with system/application/marketing on product definition and contribute to concept and roadmap development.
- Create schedules and resource plans, track and monitor project progress.
- Evaluate intermediate results, resolve issues, and implement solutions.
- Partner with application/product/test engineering for successful production transfer.
- Mentor junior analog design engineers.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Solid track record of releasing complex IPs to products.
- Extensive knowledge of IC design processes and methodologies.
- Sound understanding of various power converters and relevant components.
- Strong analog design skills with the ability to debug complex chip problems.
- Familiarity with advanced high voltage BCD technology and its implications on performance.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in cutting-edge design and verification tools.
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Education Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
