Principal Field Service Engineer

Role Summary

Senior field service engineer responsible for functional testing, validation, reliability verification, and field support of PRVX probe cards and related test systems. Works with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Service teams to resolve technical issues, support new product introductions, and improve test processes.

This role focuses on hands-on test execution, data analysis, failure analysis, and driving improvements to test efficiency and product quality.

Experience Level

Senior / Principal level. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on testing and cross-functional technical support.

• Perform functional testing, validation, and reliability verification of PRVX probe cards.
• Develop, execute, and optimize test plans and procedures; maintain test documentation and standards.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures or performance issues, and produce test reports with technical recommendations.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering qualification, and product release activities.
• Support failure analysis (FA), corrective actions, and customer-related technical investigations.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Service to resolve technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Participate in test automation development and implementation projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and work conditions; education and degree details are listed separately below.

• Hands-on experience with semiconductor testing, probe card testing, or ATE; ability to operate and troubleshoot test equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing processes, especially back-end semiconductor test.
• Experience generating test reports and providing technical recommendations based on data analysis.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and field service teams.
• English verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to perform shift work.
• Nice-to-have: experience with test automation, NPI activities, and probe-card-specific troubleshooting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
