Principal Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Role Summary

Field Applications Engineer responsible for technical customer support, design validation, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and providing engineering feedback to product teams. Role sits in Sales supporting customers in Seoul across server, data center, and telecommunications segments.

Primary mission: enable customer designs using Renesas analog/connectivity products and drive product-quality and configuration improvements through customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include hands-on technical support for customer designs and collaboration with sales and product teams.

• Design and validate analog solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Perform product demonstrations and provide technical sales support.
• Troubleshoot and debug device configurations, schematic and layout issues, and product quality problems.
• Review customer schematics and layouts and recommend component selections.
• Collect and relay customer feedback to product lines to drive improvements.
• Support Tier 1 customers in server, data center, and telecommunications industries.
• Communicate technical information clearly in English with customers and internal teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted separately.

• Proven experience designing with analog products and strong analog fundamentals.
• Experience debugging device configurations and addressing quality issues in customer systems.
• Experience supporting Tier 1 customers in server, data center, or telecommunications environments.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Onsite work in Seoul (position located in Seoul, South Korea).
• Nice-to-have: prior experience with PLL, clock, or timing devices.

Education Requirements

Education background in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field is requested; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
