Role Summary
Senior software engineer responsible for designing, implementing and validating software that drives hardware-assisted verification and prototyping (ZeBu) products. The role involves end-to-end ownership from specification through delivery, documentation, and support.
Work within the Hardware Assisted Verification team on cross-functional R&D projects involving hardware, firmware and software teams distributed across multiple locations.
Experience Level
Senior — requires substantial industry experience. The posting specifies a minimum of 10+ years of related experience (or 8+ years with a Master’s).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, delivery and performance optimization of the software stack for emulation and prototyping products.
- Design, develop and validate complex software for ZeBu emulation and prototyping products.
- Manage software projects from specification through internal delivery, documentation and support.
- Optimize software performance, including multi-threading and OS-level considerations.
- Work across hardware, firmware and software teams in multiple global locations to deliver timely, high-quality software.
- Follow company processes for software quality, tests and release cycles.
Requirements

- Strong software engineering skills: specification, modular design, development, unit/integration tests, optimization and maintenance.
- Proficient in C/C++ and object-oriented design.
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, including graph algorithms.
- Experience with Linux development (shell, makefiles).
- Practical experience optimizing performance using multi-threading and OS concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet schedule constraints.
- Nice-to-have: exposure to HDL languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog); background in hardware functional verification or synthesis techniques.
Education Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science Engineering with 10+ years related experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience (degree fields: Electrical/Electronics/Computer-Science).
