Responsibilities
The role focuses on identifying and resolving integration and yield issues, developing and qualifying processes, and enabling rapid characterization and improvement of product yield.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve process integration and yield issues.
- Perform project management and data analysis to support yield improvement projects.
- Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer and product requirements.
- Support new designs via module characterization and development of design rules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce defect activity and address technical and yield concerns.
- Design and improve test structures to enable fast, rigorous process characterization.
- Drive continuous improvement plans (CIP) to meet organizational goals.
- Build and maintain a defect-source library and implement defect-source fingerprinting methods.
- Perform product/process partitioning studies for yield and defect characterization.
- Ensure process documentation, failure-mode assessment, and mitigation/detection strategies are in place.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
