Principal Engineer, Automated Derivatives

Role Summary

This role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of derivative SoCs, integrating RTL design, functional verification, and physical implementation. The engineer will utilize AI to enhance the silicon design process, aiming for faster project turnarounds and optimized design automation.

Experience Level

Senior level with 12–15 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing machine learning to optimize RTL and architecture for timing and congestion.
  • Developing automated scripts for generating RTL wrappers and memory maps.
  • Building AI-driven verification environments that adjust to design variations.
  • Driving the physical implementation of derivatives using AI for faster convergence.

Requirements

Candidates must possess the following:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for functional verification.
  • Solid understanding of physical design processes including Static Timing Analysis (STA).
  • Expertise in Python for ML model development.
  • Mastery of Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
