Job Title

Principal Engineer – ASIC SoC Design

Role Summary

Lead development of IP, subsystems, and SoCs for next‑generation memory and storage products. Accountable for micro‑architecture, RTL design, integration, and silicon bring‑up while coordinating across architecture, verification, firmware, DFT, synthesis, and physical design teams.

Hands‑on technical role focused on delivering reusable, high‑quality RTL and driving end‑to‑end SoC execution; includes mentorship and methodology leadership.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 12+ years of hands‑on IP and SoC RTL design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities cover end‑to‑end IP and SoC design, integration, and post‑silicon support.

  • Own IP and subsystem design from micro‑architecture through RTL implementation and integration.
  • Produce reusable, production-quality RTL and define/review module interfaces and system architecture.
  • Drive SoC integration tasks: CDC, lint, synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), and power analysis.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, Firmware, DFT, Synthesis, and Physical Design teams.
  • Support post‑silicon debug, bring‑up, and silicon validation activities.
  • Provide technical mentorship and lead design and methodology reviews.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted engineering tools to improve micro‑architecture, RTL design, debug, and review productivity.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 12+ years hands‑on IP and SoC RTL design experience.
  • Strong micro‑architecture skills and RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with CDC and asynchronous design methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of SoC design flows: lint, CDC, synthesis/STA, and power analysis.
  • Solid digital design fundamentals and scripting skills for automation and analysis.
  • Proven problem‑solving ability and effective communication with global multifunctional teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with LPDDR subsystems, CPU subsystems, or SoC test controller design.
  • Background in ASIC controllers for storage or memory systems.
  • Hands‑on post‑silicon debug and silicon support experience.

Education Requirements
