Principal Engineer - ASIC DV

Role Summary

Member of the ASIC Design Verification team responsible for IP/Block and subsystem verification. Deliver verification from test-plan through SystemVerilog/UVM testbench development to sign-off.

Lead verification activities, mentor engineers, ensure verification coverage and coordinate with domain specialists across locations.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 10+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience (per posting).

Responsibilities

Accountable for verification strategy, execution, and team leadership for IP/Block and subsystem deliverables.

• Create and maintain verification plans and sign-off criteria.
• Design and develop SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, environments, and test cases.
• Drive RTL debug, scoreboarding, assertions, functional coverage, and code-coverage analysis to achieve first-pass success.
• Lead and mentor verification engineers; provide technical direction to deliver IP/Block to completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams on core technical initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Proven expertise in IP/Block/Subsystem level verification and verification planning.
• Strong SystemVerilog and Verilog skills and experience building UVM environments.
• Experience with AMBA protocols such as AXI and AHB.
• Experience with RTL debugging, scoreboards, assertions, functional coverage coding, and code coverage analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead verification efforts and mentor engineers; strong written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have:

• DDR protocol knowledge and experience with memory controllers or similar IPs.
• Prior experience technically leading an IP/Block to completion.

Education Requirements

M.S./M.Tech or BS/BE in Electronics (the posting lists M.S./M.Tech, BS/BE (Electronics)).
