Role Summary
Lead verification for advanced ASICs within Blue Origin's TeraWave satellite communications program. Define verification strategies, establish methodologies and infrastructure, coordinate across design, architecture, firmware and validation teams, and mentor technical leaders to achieve verification signoff for complex SoCs.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 12+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification planning, execution, and signoff across block, subsystem, and SoC levels for complex satellite-communications chips.
- Define end-to-end verification strategy and signoff criteria for large satellite communication ASIC/SoC programs.
- Establish verification methodologies, infrastructure, coverage goals, and regression frameworks.
- Plan verification for modem pipelines, FEC engines, digital beamforming, packet processing, and control fabrics.
- Drive alignment among design, architecture, systems, firmware, and validation groups.
- Evaluate completeness via coverage, assertions, formal analysis, emulation, and silicon correlation.
- Resolve critical technical issues and lead root-cause analysis for complex functional failures.
- Guide development of reusable VIP, reference models, and automation for regressions.
- Mentor technical leaders and raise verification maturity across teams.
- Influence verification tool strategy, roadmap, and reuse models.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by several desirable skills.
-
Must-have: Expert-level SystemVerilog, UVM, assertions, and verification signoff methodology.
-
Must-have: Proven track record leading verification for complex chips or multiple tape-outs.
-
Must-have: Strong understanding of communication signal-processing hardware and system-level integration.
-
Must-have: Experience with coverage-driven verification, formal analysis, emulation, and silicon correlation.
-
Must-have: Demonstrated technical leadership and cross-organizational communication skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience in space-based communications, digital modems, phased-array processing, or payload processing.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with fault tolerance, mission-critical reliability, radiation-aware verification, and performance validation.
-
Nice-to-have: Background in architectural modeling and verification planning for hardware/software partitioned systems.
Education Requirements
