Principal Analog Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
The role involves designing sophisticated CMOS transceiver/SERDES products as part of a small analog team within the Central Engineering business group. Responsibilities include architectural investigations and implementation for various circuits, as well as design verification using industry standard tools.
Experience Level
Mid-level, with 10-15 years of professional experience or 5-10 years with a Master's degree or PhD.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs.
- Carrying out layout activities in nanometric technologies.
- Characterizing, debugging, and validating designs in the lab.
- Generating design-related documents and application specifications.
- Interfacing with digital and SOC teams to facilitate design integration.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- Strong understanding of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
- Experience with mixed signal circuit design including ADCs, DACs, and PLLs.
- Knowledge of low power and high-speed design techniques.
- Proficiency in IC CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, and MATLAB.
- Lab testing skills for prototype evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
