Principal Analog IC Layout Engineer

Role Summary

Provide senior technical expertise in analog IC layout for the Central Layout Group supporting the Power & Energy business, with primary focus on Automotive Power Solutions.

Lead complex mixed-signal and power management layout developments, drive technology deployment and layout methodology improvements, and mentor engineers across sites.

Experience Level

Senior - principal-level role requiring extensive experience in analog IC layout and mixed-signal/power management products.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, project support, methodology development, and delivery of manufacturable layouts.

• Lead complex analog and mixed-signal layout developments and floorplanning.
• Define top-level implementation strategies and ensure manufacturability and sign-off readiness.
• Support deployment of new technologies and layout methodologies.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and identify/mitigate layout-related risks.
• Provide silicon bring-up support and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement and develop layout best practices.
• Mentor and train layout engineers and promote worldwide alignment on standards.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in Analog IC Layout and delivering developments from concept to tape-out.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre and sign-off methodologies.
• Strong background in mixed-signal and power management products.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Nice-to-have:

• BCD and high-voltage technology expertise.
• Reliability, ESD and EMC layout experience.
• Automation and scripting experience.
• Experience driving cross-site engineering collaboration and working on automotive semiconductor projects.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or Microelectronics required, or equivalent academic qualification/experience.
