Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on analog design, collaboration across teams, and driving product release.
- Lead design and development of high-performance analog power management ICs focused on efficiency, power density, and reliability.
- Collaborate with system engineers to define product architecture and specifications that balance performance, power, and cost.
- Select and implement circuit topologies optimized for robustness, yield, and manufacturability.
- Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and validation to meet functional and performance specifications.
- Work with layout engineers to optimize floorplanning, parasitics, and silicon performance.
- Coordinate with global design teams (including Asia) to align development strategies and execution.
- Partner with test and characterization engineers to define validation methodologies and production test strategies; troubleshoot design issues.
- Drive technical reviews and documentation; present design decisions, analysis, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and tools; education details are summarized below.
- 12+ years of engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
- 8+ years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience focused on DC‑DC power converter architectures and control methods (voltage-mode, current-mode).
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with EDA flows and tools for extraction and analysis (EMIR/capacitive coupling tools, parasitic extraction, floating-node analysis).
- Experience with production release of power management ICs.
- Preferred: familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Simplis, ADS, and hands-on lab experience supporting high-frequency switching power supplies.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferred: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering. The posting also states that equivalent practical experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience is acceptable.
