Principal Analog Engineer - Intelligent Power Devices

Role Summary

Provide technical leadership for the development of next-generation Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs). Lead cross-functional teams through concept, design, validation, qualification, and production readiness; define system and design architectures, drive verification and test strategies, and mentor engineers.

The role emphasizes automotive-grade IPD performance, reliability, thermal management, and compliance with industry standards.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 10 years of experience in IPD development; proven experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical leadership and roadmap direction for IPD design and innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional development teams through the complete product lifecycle from concept to production readiness.
  • Define system and design architectures that balance performance, reliability, power efficiency, area, and cost.
  • Develop and oversee design verification, modeling, simulation, and test methodologies to ensure robust first-pass silicon.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate silicon- and system-level technical risks.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive reliability and functional safety standards (e.g., AEC-Q100, ISO 26262).
  • Manage project schedules, costs, resources, and technical deliverables; provide hands-on support for evaluation, debugging, and complex issue resolution.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to strengthen the organization's IPD technical capabilities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IPD (Intelligent Power Device) development.
  • Proven experience leading development teams and managing multiple engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Power MOSFET (PoMOS) design, structure, characteristics, and driving methods used in IPDs.
  • Experience with IPD testing, validation, and reliability assessment.
  • Solid understanding of thermal design principles and device thermal management.
  • Familiarity with automotive reliability and functional safety standards (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262).
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of EMC and ESD design and testing.
