Job Title

PPAB Automation Engineer

Role Summary

The GPU team is hiring an engineer to build production-quality AI systems that improve productivity, methodology, and decision-making for power, performance, area, and bandwidth (PPAB) workflows.

The role works across hardware, software, modelling, performance, and implementation teams to identify automation opportunities, prototype solutions, and mature them into reliable engineering tools.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No specific years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

The engineer will design and deliver automation and AI-assisted systems that handle PPAB data, validate results, and integrate into engineering workflows.

  • Develop tools to automate or accelerate PPAB data analysis, result validation, report generation, debugging, and design-space exploration.
  • Build closed-loop and semi-automated systems combining AI, engineering guidance, scripts, tests, data sources, and validation checks.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify high-value automation opportunities and define practical requirements.
  • Prototype solutions and mature them into robust, maintainable tools suitable for production use.
  • Maintain, debug, and improve automation pipelines and ensure appropriate human review and validation points.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

  • Must-have: Practical experience using modern AI tools to solve technical problems and interest in building AI-based engineering workflows.
  • Must-have: Ability to decompose engineering problems into clear workflow steps, define expected outputs, and design checks and validation.
  • Must-have: Programming and scripting skills (for example Python) to develop, debug, and maintain automation or data-processing scripts.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience designing AI prompts, agents, or workflows that integrate assistants with scripts, tests, documentation, or engineering data.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with data processing, engineering data organisation, dashboards, visualisation, or analysis automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with hardware engineering, GPU development, performance analysis, verification, modelling, or implementation.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
