Power Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for defining, designing, and validating the complete power architecture for a rack-scale AI data center product. Part of the Hardware Systems team working to maximize power efficiency, scalability, and system performance across the power delivery path from rack to chip.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include architecture, design, validation, and cross-functional integration.
- Define power architecture and specifications for rack-scale AI systems.
- Develop power management strategy and create accurate power-estimation models.
- Design and implement voltage regulator solutions to meet silicon and system requirements.
- Perform lab bring-up, debug, workload testing, and measurements to validate power delivery and stability.
- Collaborate with silicon, system, thermal, mechanical, and JDM partners to move designs into production.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, thermal, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership during board and system integration.
Requirements

- Must-have: 10–15 years of professional power design experience.
- In-depth experience with high-power topologies (buck DC-DC converters, multi-phase VRMs, vertical delivery).
- Proficiency with transient modeling tools (e.g., Simplis, HSPICE) and CAD tools for schematic entry and layout (e.g., Allegro).
- Proven lab bring-up, debug, design validation skills, and familiarity with common lab equipment.
- Track record of delivering shipped products and guiding integration at board/system level.
- Able to perform both design and hands-on lab work.
- Authorized to work in the United States and able to work on-site in Mountain View three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).
- Knowledge of electrical safety and thermal management practices applicable to data center hardware.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with ORV3 HPR, VHDC, data center power delivery, and dynamic workload management.
- Experience working with export-controlled information and compliance is required for this role.
