Job Title
Power Architecture Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for architecting, developing, verifying and correlating power estimation models and system-level power features for NVIDIA ASIC products. The role spans power analysis, low-power design, power-aware verification, UPF methodologies, silicon power correlation and power-management solutions.
Experience Level
Entry-level β requires approximately 1+ years of relevant experience in power analysis, power design, power-aware verification, or related areas.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect, develop, verify and correlate power estimation models and tools.
- Design system-level power features to optimize dynamic and leakage power for different use cases.
- Create and execute power-aware verification plans across RTL, gate, and silicon; implement testbench components, monitors, assertions and coverage metrics.
- Validate power features on silicon, analyze measurements, and drive performance-per-watt improvements.
- Contribute to power-management solutions and low-power methodology development (including UPF flow adoption).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on power bring-up and post-silicon correlation.
Requirements
Core technical qualifications and tools.
Must-have:
- Experience with power analysis, power design, power-aware verification, UPF methodologies, or power correlation.
- Strong fundamentals in transistor-level leakage and dynamic behavior of VLSI circuits.
- Solid digital design skills and Verilog experience.
- Familiarity with low-power techniques: multi-VT, clock gating, power gating, voltage islands, DVFS.
- Knowledge of power estimation techniques, flows and algorithms.
- Familiarity with power intent formats (UPF/CPF) and static/dynamic power tools (e.g., VCLP/CLP, VCS-NLP) or equivalents.
Nice-to-have:
- Python or other programming experience and object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with power analysis tools (PTPX, EPS) or lab setups for power measurements (oscilloscope/DAQ) and board-level power analysis.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and communication skills.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree (as stated in the posting).
