Power Analysis Engineer

Role Summary

The Power Analysis Engineer will perform power estimation, modeling, and analysis for Arm silicon platforms, supporting the Solutions Engineering group and SoC design teams across mobile, compute, IoT, AI/ML server, and automotive markets.

Work includes producing power forecasts, validating low‑power techniques, and delivering actionable analysis to architects and implementation teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform power analysis and estimation for SoC designs in pre‑ and post‑silicon phases.
  • Develop and validate power models and workflows for different process nodes and workloads.
  • Run power analysis tools and build automated flows using scripting (e.g., Python).
  • Collaborate with architects, design, verification, and implementation teams to identify power risks and optimizations.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate power findings and recommendations.
  • Support silicon bring‑up and correlate measured power with modeled estimates.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Practical experience in power analysis or power estimation for ASIC/SoC designs.
  • Experience using power analysis/EDA tools and creating automated analysis flows.
  • Proficiency with scripting for data processing and automation (e.g., Python, shell).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with RTL and physical design flows and low‑power design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with workload characterization for mobile, AI/ML, or server applications.
  • Experience correlating silicon measurements with power models.
