Power Analysis Engineer

Role Summary

The Power Analysis Engineer will be part of the Solutions Engineering group at Arm, focusing on analyzing and optimizing power performance for the next generation of silicon platforms across various markets, including mobile and AI/ML.

Experience Level

Mid-level experience is required.

Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing RTL simulator and emulator-based workloads for power estimation.
  • Creating visualizations demonstrating hardware power signatures and capabilities.
  • Reviewing the quality and accuracy of data from EDA power analysis tools while evaluating new tools and methodologies.

Requirements

Candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Understanding of low power design techniques (e.g., clock gating, voltage scaling).
  • Ability to balance trade-offs between power, performance, and area.
  • Verilog or System Verilog experience.
  • Experience with power analysis tools (e.g., PowerPro, PrimePower).
  • Knowledge of Physical Implementation flow from RTL through to STA.
