Post Silicon Validation Student

Role Summary

Join the system validation team in IDC to validate next-generation Intel processors. Work with design, architecture and manufacturing engineers to turn designs into working silicon and influence product decisions through rigorous validation and debug.

The team focuses on functional and electrical testing, validation methodology, infrastructure, and debug of complex SoC platforms. This is a part-time, hybrid student position based in Haifa, Israel.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Student intern. Part-time role for undergraduate students with at least four semesters remaining until graduation.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include planning and executing system-level validation and performing advanced hardware/software debug.

  • Develop validation architecture and test plans.
  • Create validation methodologies, infrastructure, and test content.
  • Perform global flows investigations and deep-dive analysis.
  • Debug hardware, firmware and software issues; define bug fixes and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Architecture, Manufacturing) to close issues and influence design decisions.

Must-have:

  • Self-motivated learner with interest in tools development, system architecture, and debugging.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to work across teams.
  • Availability for part-time, student schedule and to work on-site in Haifa per hybrid model.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with FPGA, emulation, pre/post-silicon validation, logic design, and debug.
  • Familiarity with Graphics, Display, Memory, Security, SoC, HSIO, Power-Management, and HW/SW integration.
  • Strong lab skills for system testing and debugging.
  • Experience in driver or firmware development.
  • In-depth knowledge of silicon process and validation.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with at least four semesters remaining until graduation.
