Post Silicon Validation Student

Role Summary

Join the Client CPU Post-Silicon Validation team to own an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline that delivers custom Linux OS variants for functional validation of Intel CPU platforms. The role supports validation teams at the Haifa campus and focuses on reliable OS delivery and integration for post-silicon testing.

This is a technical student internship focused on automation, OS integration, and validation tooling to ensure stable, high-performance platforms for silicon validation.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Student / Intern). This position is intended for a current undergraduate student.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Own and operate the full CI/CD lifecycle for producing custom Linux distributions used by validation teams.
  • Collaborate with functional validation teams to gather requirements and integrate necessary tooling into the OS environment.
  • Integrate, test, and validate OS components and packages to maintain a stable, high-performance platform.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, pipelines, and documentation for reproducible OS builds and deployments.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and triage of OS-related issues found during post-silicon validation.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and conditions:

  • Deep understanding of computer architecture and system organization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and tooling.
  • Available to work approximately four days per week in a part-time student capacity.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills to work with validation engineers and cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

BSc student in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least two years remaining until graduation. Enrollment as a student eligible for an internship is required. No alternative degrees, certifications, or equivalent-experience language is specified in the posting.
