Post-Silicon Validation Engineer (Intern, convertible to full-time)
Role Summary
Perform system-level validation for chips and modules, execute test plans and validation schemes, and ensure design targets are met. Build and run test environments, develop automation and analysis tools, and collaborate with design teams to find and close defects.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level - suitable for current graduate students (Master's and above) with limited industry experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include test execution, automation, and defect closure.
- Execute system validation and test plans for chips and modules to verify design metrics.
- Build and maintain test environments and test benches for functional and system testing.
- Develop and run automated tests; locate, document, and drive defect resolution.
- Develop automation tools and data-analysis utilities to improve test coverage and throughput.
- Maintain test script library and automated test platform; optimize test processes for efficiency.
- Work with design teams to reproduce issues and complete defect-fix verification and closure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, practical capabilities, and work habits required for the role.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
- Familiarity with computer/server architecture and basic memory principles.
- Proficient in C and Python for test development and automation.
- Basic hardware skills (e.g., soldering, using low-frequency oscilloscopes).
- Strong logical thinking, clean coding practices, and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal English communication; able to coordinate across teams.
- Able to work under project pressure and meet milestone schedules, including occasional overtime.
- On-site presence required: minimum 3 days per week on site during the internship.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled Master's degree or higher in Electronic Information, Electronic Science and Technology, Microelectronics, or a closely related field (Master's-level students and above).
