Job Title

Post Silicon Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Join the system validation team to validate next-generation Intel processors. The role works closely with design, architecture and manufacturing engineers to turn designs into working silicon and influence design decisions.

Primary mission: develop validation architecture and test plans, build validation infrastructure and content, and perform advanced hardware/firmware/software debug to identify and resolve silicon issues.

Responsibilities

Work on post-silicon validation across hardware, firmware and software, from planning through root-cause debug and closure.

  • Define validation architecture and develop detailed test plans.
  • Create validation methodologies, infrastructure and content for system-level testing.
  • Investigate global flows and perform deep-dive failure analysis.
  • Perform advanced hardware, firmware and software debugging and define bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with design, architecture and manufacturing teams to influence product decisions and accelerate silicon bring-up.

  • Self-motivated with strong interest in tools development, system architecture and debugging.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills to build effective cross-team partnerships.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with FPGA, emulation, pre/post-silicon validation, logic design and debug.
  • Knowledge of silicon process and validation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with graphics, display, memory, security, SoC, HSIO, power management, and HW/SW integration.
  • Strong lab skills for system testing and debugging.
  • Experience in driver or firmware development.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required (as stated in the source posting).
