Post Silicon Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for post-silicon validation, debug, and platform bring-up of SoC products. The role works across firmware, hardware, and software teams to verify functionality, root-cause failures, and improve validation tooling and methodologies.
Part of the Systems Design Engineering organization; expected to lead technical initiatives that increase automation, test coverage, and delivery quality.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on validation, cross-team coordination, and developing tools and procedures to improve product quality.
- Drive technical innovations in validation: develop tools, scripts, and automated flows to increase coverage and efficiency.
- Debug issues found during silicon bring-up, validation, and production phases; perform root-cause analysis and recommend fixes.
- Plan and track test execution to ensure features are validated and optimized on schedule.
- Perform board/platform-level debugging, delivery sequencing, failure analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, software, test engineering) to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Engage with software/hardware modeling frameworks and validation frameworks as required.
- Lead and coordinate multi-team technical efforts and validation strategy execution.
Requirements
Core technical skills and attributes required for success; items labeled "Preferred" are nice-to-have but beneficial.
- Must have: Hands-on experience with board/platform-level debugging and system bring-up.
- Must have: Strong knowledge of system architecture, validation strategies, and technical debug methodologies.
- Must have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; self-starter able to drive tasks to completion.
- Must have: Experience working across multiple teams to coordinate validation and delivery activities.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: Programming/scripting experience (examples: C/C++, Python, Perl, Ruby) for automation and tooling.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with RAS and reset-flow validation, high-coverage tests, failure-signature analysis, and recovery logic improvements.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: Familiarity with software/hardware modeling frameworks and validation automation frameworks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
