Role Summary

The PnR Applications Engineer focuses on backend physical design and frontend synthesis to contribute to the development of high-performance silicon chips at Synopsys.

Mid-level, with 1-2 years of hands-on design experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

As a PnR Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Working on frontend synthesis and backend physical design.
• Using PnR tools such as ICCII or Fusion Compiler.
• Leveraging understanding of advanced process nodes and low power design methodologies.
• Utilizing scripting skills to automate processes.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Key qualifications include:

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 1-2 years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in backend physical design.
• Experience with PnR tools such as ICCII, Fusion Compiler, or EDA tools.
• Solid scripting skills, including knowledge of Perl and TCL.
• Business level English proficiency.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
