Job Title

PMO/Project Controlling Manager

Role Summary

Lead the PMO interface between project teams, functional stakeholders, finance, and management for semiconductor R&D and NPI programs. Drive cost, schedule and milestone control, ensure consistent reporting and governance, and coordinate escalations and mitigation actions to support decision making.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 5+ years of program or project management or related experience, preferably within semiconductor R&D, technology development, or NPI environments.

Responsibilities

Own PMO controls, reporting, and governance to keep projects aligned with approved plans and management expectations.

  • Act as primary PMO contact among project teams, functional stakeholders, finance, and management.
  • Monitor and control project cost, schedule, and milestones; identify deviations early.
  • Coordinate mitigation plans with project and functional owners and drive timely escalations.
  • Establish and enforce PMO standards, reporting cadence, and governance forums.
  • Prepare consistent, high-quality portfolio and project reports for management reviews.

Requirements

Core skills and domain experience required or strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years in program management, project controlling, PMO, or related roles (semiconductor R&D/NPI experience preferred).
  • Experience supporting product and process development, R&D technology development, or engineering/business operations in semiconductor environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and clear communication with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen for project cost control and reporting.
  • Experience establishing PMO standards, reporting cadences, and governance processes.
  • Nice-to-have: PMP or equivalent program/project management certification; Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt or above).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required. Common fields listed include Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, Chemical engineering, or Engineering Management. Certifications such as PMP or Lean/Six Sigma are cited as advantages.
