Role Summary

Platform Architect provides strategic and operational leadership for global Design Enablement and Platform Management programs. The role ensures cross-functional alignment, predictable delivery, and technology enablement across advanced and mainstream semiconductor process nodes.

The role partners with engineering, manufacturing, research and product teams to remove execution bottlenecks, enable timely delivery of PDKs, libraries and flows, and maintain program readiness and stakeholder trust.

Experience Level

Senior — senior-level leadership role; significant experience leading complex, global engineering or platform programs is expected.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include program governance, technology enablement, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Own and govern complex project and program portfolios across Design Enablement and Platform Management, aligning with business priorities and technology roadmaps.
• Drive milestone execution, risk management, and transparent decision-making across global stakeholders.
• Establish program governance, dashboards, and cadence for senior leadership visibility.
• Lead enablement programs to ensure availability of PDKs, libraries, flows, and qualification readiness.
• Integrate efforts between process technology teams, design teams, IP owners, and product groups to remove execution bottlenecks.
• Coordinate execution across distributed global teams including engineering, research, manufacturing, quality, and business units.
• Chair and contribute to leadership forums to drive alignment, issue resolution, and escalation closure.

• Must-have: Proven experience leading complex, multi-site engineering programs or portfolios with program governance and risk management.
• Must-have: Practical experience with semiconductor design enablement activities (PDKs, libraries, flows) and platform readiness processes.
• Must-have: Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills with executive-level communication.
• Must-have: Ability to translate strategy into executable plans and establish program metrics and dashboards.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with advanced/process node adoption, cost optimization, and research partnerships.
