As an intern on the Physics AI team, you will assist researchers and engineers applying machine learning to physics and semiconductor modeling problems. Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and evaluate machine-learning models and prototypes for physics- or semiconductor-related problems.
- Prepare, clean, and analyze datasets; perform feature engineering and validation.
- Design and run experiments, track metrics, and document methodologies and results.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain reproducible code, notebooks, and basic tests for experiments.
Requirements
Core skills and preferred qualifications:
- Must-have: Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., NumPy, Pandas).
- Familiarity with machine-learning fundamentals and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Ability to analyze experimental results and communicate technical conclusions.
- Nice-to-have: Coursework or experience in physics, computational physics, or semiconductor/device physics; experience with scientific computing and experiment-tracking tools.
- Prior research projects or internships in ML, data science, or related areas are a plus.
