Job Title

Physical Verification/RDL Engineer

Role Summary

Perform block- and top-level physical verification and drive RDL and MIMCAP closure for complex chiplet designs on advanced process nodes (3nm and below). Collaborate with Physical Design, RTL designers, and signoff teams to resolve integration, manufacturability, and electrical issues.

Hands-on engineering role focused on verification, signoff checks, automation, and debug within Unix/Linux environments.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8–12 years of experience in physical design, verification, or methodology development on advanced nodes (below 3nm).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include physical verification, signoff, and cross-team integration for advanced-node chiplets.

  • Perform block-level and top-level physical verification and signoff.
  • Drive RDL and MIMCAP closure for complex chiplets.
  • Execute electrical and manufacturing checks using signoff tools and flows.
  • Support multi-voltage and low-power designs during verification and closure.
  • Collaborate with Physical Design, RTL, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation to support verification and debug.
  • Troubleshoot layout, signoff, and integration problems and provide root-cause analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and behaviors for successful candidates.

  • Hands-on physical verification experience at block and top level on advanced nodes (3nm and below).
  • Experience with industry-standard place-and-route and signoff tools such as Fusion Compiler, ICC2, Innovus, and Siemens Calibre.
  • Strong scripting skills (Tcl, Perl, sed/awk) and proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Proven problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with Python and other automation tooling.
  • Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with low-power flows (UPF concepts, power-gating, isolation, level-shifters) and multi-voltage designs.

Education Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering. The posting specifies 8–12 years of experience in physical design flow and methodology development on advanced nodes below 3nm.
