Role Summary

Embed with an engineering team responsible for block-level physical implementation of ASICs. The role focuses on RTL-to-GDS flow execution, timing closure, and block floorplanning for advanced process nodes.

Work is execution-driven and requires on-site presence five days per week.

Experience Level

Mid-level — experienced engineer. No explicit years-of-experience specified; the role expects proven hands-on experience in physical design and timing closure.

Responsibilities

Key technical responsibilities include:

• Perform RTL synthesis using Cadence Genus/Fusion Compiler, including SDC constraint development and QoR optimization for timing, area, and power.
• Execute static timing analysis (STA) with Synopsys Tempus: setup/hold closure, MMMC scenarios, OCV, and timing signoff activities.
• Analyze and debug timing violations across synthesis and floorplan stages and drive closure activities.
• Perform block-level floorplanning using Cadence Innovus or Fusion Compiler: macro placement, IO planning, and utilization management.
• Work on advanced process nodes (5nm or below) and support fast-paced, execution-driven delivery.
• Onsite collaboration with cross-functional teams; full-time office presence (5 days/week) is mandatory.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and environment expectations:

• Strong, hands-on RTL synthesis experience with Cadence Genus/Fusion Compiler and SDC constraint formulation.
• Proven STA experience using Synopsys Tempus, including timing signoff concepts and multi-mode multi-corner flows.
• Experience in block-level floorplanning with Cadence Innovus or Fusion Compiler (macro placement, IO planning).
• Track record of debugging and closing timing violations across synthesis and floorplan stages.
• Experience working on advanced nodes (5nm or below).
• Ability to work onsite five days per week and operate in an execution-driven schedule.
