Role Summary

Join Broadcom's Data Center Solutions Group at the Colorado Springs campus to deliver RTL-to-silicon physical IC design for PCIe switch and enterprise storage products. The role focuses on timing closure, place-and-route, floorplanning, EM/IR analysis, and methodology development to support high-performance data center and AI/ML systems.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The position expects 12+ years of relevant physical IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Execute physical design flow: synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure.
• Set up and synthesize RTL and support top-level static timing analysis (STA) strategies.
• Perform EM/IR analysis and support power integrity sign-off.
• Perform place-and-route and clock tree synthesis; implement custom clock-tree and skew-reduction techniques.
• Lead floorplanning and top-level layout tasks.
• Develop and improve physical-design flows and automation methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with RTL designers and cross-functional IC design teams.
• Work on-site at the Colorado Springs facility (no remote work permitted).

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• 12+ years of relevant physical IC design experience (RTL-to-tapeout).
• Strong scripting skills: TCL and Perl.
• Proficiency with EDA tools for synthesis, placement & routing, STA, and physical verification.
• Demonstrated experience in timing closure, top-level STA, and sign-off methodologies.
• Practical experience with EM/IR analysis, CTS, and floorplanning.
• Experience developing flows/methodologies and improving automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
