Role Summary

Member of the Data Center Solutions Group responsible for full-chip physical implementation of PCIe switch and enterprise storage products. Work covers RTL-to-silicon physical design, timing closure, verification, and methodology development for high-performance datacenter ASICs.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 12+ years of relevant physical IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver physical design and timing-closure tasks for complex SoCs and lead flow/methodology improvements.

• Execute full physical design cycle: synthesis, floorplanning, place-and-route, clock-tree synthesis, and tape-out preparation.
• Perform static timing analysis and top-level STA strategies to achieve timing closure.
• Run EM/IR analysis and resolve power integrity issues.
• Develop and maintain flows, scripts, and methodologies for physical implementation.
• Collaborate with RTL/architecture teams to set up and synthesize RTL and iterate on implementation.
• Implement custom clock tree techniques, insertion reduction, and skew balancing as required.
• Work on-site at the Colorado Springs campus (no remote work allowed).

Requirements

Essential technical skills and practical experience required for this role.

• Proven experience across RTL-to-tape-out physical design for large SoCs.
• Strong TCL and Perl scripting skills for flow automation.
• Proficiency with commercial EDA tools for synthesis, P&R, STA, and physical verification.
• Hands-on experience with floorplanning, place-and-route, CTS, and timing-closure methodologies.
• Ability to analyze and mitigate EM/IR and power delivery issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across design teams.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. The posting specifies 12+ years of relevant experience.
