Experience Level

Entry-level (Early Career). Requires approximately 2+ years of experience in VLSI physical design.

Responsibilities

Deliver physical implementation and closure for complex ASIC designs.

  • Full-chip floorplanning and power/clock distribution.
  • Place and route, timing optimization, and timing closure.
  • RC extraction, power and signal-integrity analysis, and physical verification.
  • Troubleshoot design and flow issues and implement proactive fixes.
  • Collaborate with RTL, DFT, and circuit designers to ensure implementation quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Power user of EDA tools such as Synopsys (ICC2/DC/PT/STAR-RC), Cadence (EDI/Innovus/Voltus), or Ansys (Redhawk).
  • Experience with clock/power distribution, place & route, timing closure, RC extraction, and verification on advanced technology nodes.
  • Minimum ~2 years of hands-on experience in the physical design areas listed above.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of FinFET technology, circuit design, and package design.
