Role Summary
Research intern on the NVIDIA Research Circuits team focused on high-performance, low-power circuit technologies and prototype circuits that advance processor computation and interconnect performance.
Work involves research, prototype design and implementation, and collaboration with internal product teams to transition technology into products.
Experience Level
Internship - PhD-level research role intended for enrolled PhD students.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Explore circuit approaches to optimize processor computation and interconnect performance and power.
- Design and implement circuit approaches in prototype systems.
- Collaborate with researchers and internal product teams across research and product roles.
- Transfer developed technology to product groups.
Requirements
Must-have experience and skills:
- Strong, broad knowledge of circuit design theory and practice.
- Depth in one or more high-performance circuit areas (PLLs/clocking, SerDes/high-speed signaling, photonics, SRAMs, power delivery/regulation, security circuits, high-speed logic).
- Power delivery research experience with focus on one or more of: novel digital/analog control architectures for fast transient response of power converters; EMI analysis and mitigation; power supply design and analysis for low-failure-rate applications.
- Track record of research excellence or significant product development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related technical field.
