Performance Modeling Architect
Role Summary
Design and evaluate architecture and performance for high-performance network switch ASICs used in AI and HPC systems. The role partners with hardware, software, and research teams to define simulation-based architectural options and guide technical decisions for next-generation networking products.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects 3+ years of hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include modeling, analysis, and cross-team technical leadership:
- Develop a C++ simulation model to define and evaluate architectural options for networking products.
- Analyze and model communication patterns for deep learning, generative AI, inference, and training workloads.
- Identify and evaluate performance bottlenecks and trade-offs across system components.
- Collaborate with architecture, research, hardware, and software teams and lead technical workgroups toward solutions.
- Propose and explore ideas to improve chip- and system-level performance.
Requirements

- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High ownership and ability to drive solutions and initiatives.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience.

- Experience with NVLink, Ethernet, or InfiniBand technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and lead technologies to product impact.
Education Requirements
Required: BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is listed as preferred.
