Role Summary

Lead a global engineering organization responsible for end-to-end silicon performance and design execution across pre- and post-silicon stages. Drive system-level performance attainment, HW/SW optimizations, silicon debug, and sustained performance delivery for complex SoCs and accelerators.

Partner with architecture, design, validation, software, and product teams to ensure performance, power, and efficiency targets are met for current and future products.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Director). The role expects demonstrated leadership of large, global engineering teams; no specific years-of-experience requirement is stated.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, program execution, and people management to achieve silicon performance and power goals.

• Own system-level performance attainment and drive HW/SW optimization for out-of-box and sustained performance.
• Lead post-silicon debug, regression testing, performance analysis, and optimization to meet product targets.
• Establish and evolve methodologies for power and performance modeling, validation, and silicon bring-up.
• Manage execution across multiple silicon programs and mitigate technical and schedule risks.
• Drive improvements in tools, flows, and best practices for silicon design and performance engineering.
• Build, scale, and lead a global team; manage senior technical leaders and develop succession plans.
• Set technical direction, performance expectations, and career development paths for the organization.
• Engage with internal senior leadership and external customer/platform engineering teams on performance matters.

Requirements

Must-have technical and leadership capabilities; preferred domain experience listed separately.

• Extensive experience in silicon design engineering, performance architecture, or closely related technical domains.
• Deep understanding of SoC architecture, performance modeling, power analysis, and silicon debug.
• Proven experience leading large, global engineering teams and managing senior technical staff.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication skills, and proven ability to drive complex technical programs through post-silicon execution.
• Background in both hardware and system/software performance optimization.
• Experience interfacing with external customers or partners on silicon performance topics.
• Nice-to-have: experience with high-performance compute, AI accelerators, GPUs, or large-scale SoCs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
