Role Summary
As a PDK 3D Design Enablement Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be involved in the development, execution, and support of Process Design Kits (PDKs) for advanced semiconductor design. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional design teams and external partners to ensure successful tapeout processes and design methodologies.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Developing and validating Process Design Kits (PDKs) for advanced nodes.
- Driving tapeout readiness and execution, including layout verification and coordination with foundries.
- Providing EDA tool support for design teams.
- Optimizing design methodologies for layout efficiency and manufacturability.
- Collaborating with various teams to resolve design challenges.
- Troubleshooting issues related to EDA tools and PDK integration.
- Contributing to the improvement of design enablement infrastructure.
- Managing tapeout waiver requests and maintaining documentation.
- Overseeing foundry IP management for compliance.
Requirements
Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration work experience (or 3/2 years with a Master's/PhD).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor process technology and layout design rules.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and design support.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with higher degrees being advantageous.
