Role Summary
Principal-level post-silicon validation engineer focused on high-speed IO (PCIe, CXL), multi-socket and inter-die interfaces for AMD server products. The role drives validation strategy, develops test content and infrastructure, and performs system- and SoC-level debug to improve product quality.

Senior / Principal level.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing validation activities, building infrastructure, and resolving hardware/software issues across SoC and system levels.
- Develop and execute feature enablement and validation test plans for SoC- and system-level features across AMD Server products for High-Speed IO.
- Create test content for focused verification and system-level stress testing, including cross-product stress tests.
- Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure: software, hardware, automation environments, and lab setups.
- Test interactions between SoC features using validation infrastructure and drive root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and improve validation and debug capabilities.
- Improve post-silicon validation strategy, methodology, and processes.
- Participate in silicon bring-up, sequencing, delivery, and platform-level optimization.
Requirements

- Hands-on experience in SoC design or validation of high-speed IO interfaces.
- Experience with PCIe Gen5/6+, CXL, UCIe, proprietary inter-die or multi-socket server interfaces (electrical or functional).
- Proven experience developing validation methodologies, test plans, workloads, and infrastructure.
- Strong SoC- and system-level debug skills and experience with silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis.
- Proficiency with programming/scripting (C/C++, Python, Perl, or similar) and working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows).
- Extensive experience with lab equipment and board/platform-level debug (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, delivery and sequencing).
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal/written communication in English.
- Self-starting team player able to work with minimal guidance and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Forward thinker who drives process and architecture improvements.

Education Requirements
BSEE, CSE, or CS with 7+ years of experience; or MSEE, CSE, or MS/MA in CS with 5+ years of experience (academic credentials as listed by employer).
