Job Title

Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Senior Lithography Reticle Engineer

Role Summary

Senior lithography process engineer focused on reticles and mask quality at Intel Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (Chandler, AZ). Lead efforts to monitor and control reticle performance, perform data-driven process improvements, and support cross-functional teams to improve yield, quality, and productivity.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 7+ years of relevant engineering experience. The posting specifies 7+ years of process engineering in wafer fabrication and 5+ years of reticle lithography experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own monitoring and control of reticle quality and performance, including measurement and data analysis.
  • Maintain and review reticle inspection equipment; ensure equipment matching and repeatability.
  • Drive continuous improvement for reticle tool health, process matching, and mask health to prevent defects and excursions.
  • Apply model-based problem solving to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Conduct tests and measurements for photo-induced defects, environmental effects, mask variability, and yield marginalities.
  • Manage tool installations, conversions, and qualifications for new technology start-ups and achieve matched performance.
  • Develop systems and models to monitor reticle changes and reticle health over time.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional programs for parametric and defectivity matching.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills (concise):

  • Minimum: 7+ years of process engineering experience in wafer fabrication.
  • Minimum: 5+ years reticle lithography experience covering process flow, equipment troubleshooting, model-based problem solving, vendor support interaction, quality direction, and advanced data analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Technical expertise with photolithography reticle equipment, risk models, and lithography matching (including EUV and immersion interactions).
  • Experience in mask shop processing, defect containment, and yield improvement.
  • Experience with data-analysis tools and methodologies (JMP, SPC, MATLAB, DOE, pilot testing).
  • Experience leading senior, cross-functional teams; prior Intel engineering or experience with U.S. Government contracts is a plus.
  • Active U.S. Government clearance (preferred; Secret or higher).

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor of Science in a related science or engineering field (posting specifies BS + 7 years of process engineering experience). Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. (posting notes M.S./Ph.D. with 5 years' experience as preferred). Fields referenced: related science or engineering disciplines. No specific certifications listed; no explicit "equivalent experience" language provided.
