Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop and run performance and functional models to evaluate GPU and SoC architectures.
- Build, extend, and run performance simulators and modeling frameworks; capture and replay real application workloads.
- Design and implement pre-silicon programming, test environments, and validation infrastructure.
- Create directed and constrained-random test plans; run and debug tests on simulators, RTL, emulators, and silicon.
- Profile applications and systems to diagnose bottlenecks and guide architectural or software optimizations.
- Explore memory-system and GPU architecture features with architects to validate and improve designs.
- Support simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up and debug across multiple development stages.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience expected for applicants.
Must-have
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux; object-oriented software development.
- Experience or coursework with GPU programming and debugging (CUDA) and performance profiling.
- Familiarity with performance/functional modeling, profiling, trace- or execution-driven simulation.
- Understanding of computer systems, compilers, and assembly language; exposure to system modeling tools (e.g., SystemC).
Nice-to-have
- Experience with ASIC design, RTL, verification, random-test development, or post-silicon validation.
- Experience developing deep learning models or optimizing AI workloads.
- Experience with emulation, hardware bring-up, or large-scale workload profiling.
Education Requirements
Expected to graduate in 2027 with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
