Job Title

NVIDIA 2027 Internships: Deep Learning Computer Architecture

Role Summary

12-week, full‑time internship on NVIDIA's Deep Learning Computer Architecture team. Interns work on projects that contribute measurable results to GPU/CPU architecture, performance modeling, and deep learning acceleration.

Interns will be paired with engineering teams to design, implement, profile and optimize compute systems and algorithms. Hourly intern pay range: $20–$71 (varies by location, degree level, and experience).

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for students actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical internship responsibilities include hands-on engineering and analysis tasks under mentorship.

  • Conduct performance modeling, profiling, and analysis for GPU/CPU or deep learning systems.
  • Implement and test kernels, algorithms, or simulator components to evaluate architectural ideas.
  • Optimize code and workflows for parallel and GPU-accelerated execution.
  • Develop tools, benchmarks, or compiler/runtime experiments as required by the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and clearly present results and recommendations.

Requirements

Skills and experience expected for successful candidates. Educational enrollment details are listed under Education Requirements below.

  • Must-have: Experience in one or more focus areas: GPU architecture, CPU architecture, deep learning, GPU computing, parallel programming, or high-performance computing.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with performance modeling, profiling, optimization, or analysis.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in systems-level programming such as C or C++; familiarity with CUDA or other GPU computing frameworks is strongly preferred.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience or exposure to Perl, OpenCL, OpenACC, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe, MPI, OpenMP, compiler programming, or neural network architecture design.
  • Communication: Ability to document and present technical results to engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Must be actively enrolled and remain enrolled for the full duration of the internship in a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; anticipated graduation month and year must be noted on the resume/CV.
